Installation Art

Art can be seen everywhere, well, in fact, everything is an art. The greatest attainment of making an art is the message itself that we ought to convey. Its significance is to create an image that anyone can relate to and just by that the true essence of art is formed. Through mind that taught the hands to the work is simply astounding. It enables us to achieve more than just a compliment instead; it is about how we are able to connect through art. To unleash creativity it must have the context of reality. The complexity of art must not be a hindrance but a motivation to initiate a true vision of making it. By Installation Art there is a capability to transfer a massive impact to transform positive notions, as well.

We the Grade 11 STEM - Mendel class was assigned to make an installation art with the theme of our choice. It took us days to formulate and finalize our ideas for the installation art. Through many deliberations, in the end, we had chosen a theme about the "Subjective Media". This theme was influenced by our observation that media is subjective on what is shown, The media today is only focusing on the negative side of people not showing the good side of us. After our plans were approved by Sir Quilantang we immediately started working on our project. Everyone had cooperated and worked hard on our installation art. Though it was an exhausting and time-consuming task it was all worth it. For us, we had created a masterpiece it may not be an amazing work of art for other people but we had thought it was perfect. Our concept of "Subjective Media" had been emphasized well with the different items used in the area of Media such as newspapers, T.V., microphones, and green screens were neatly applied. We had applied some symbolization, for instance, we had used rotten fruits and vegetables to show the "Trash" that the media is showing failing to see the positive side and a coconut with a remote to represent the Filipino people should choose what should be shown not media spoon-feeding the "rotten news" to us.

In conclusion, our installation art was a success. We have received an award for being no. 1 in the contest. We believed we can accomplish this task and we did. Each and every one of us had contributed to making our installation art a success; we gave our time and effort just to complete this task. Art is subjective and different with each and every perspective. Our installation art may not be pleasing, significant, and eye-catching but for our class, it was our masterpiece made with a passion to create an outstanding work of art.
