"The creation, according to our ancestors, started with the sea and sky marrying each other. This Visayan myth also explains the existence of everything around us, including the existence of different skin colors and races."

"Our ancestors play a very great role in shaping and molding our culture. Even up to now, their ways of living still has a great impact on how we live our lives today. They serve as a guide to us Filipinos, and help us appreciate the beauty of our very own culture. What they believed then about our divine beginnings just shows how rich and colorful our history is - and it's worth preserving it for other generations." -- Divine Gargantiel

"Creativity out of Curiosity. This is basically the idea behind our Filipino literatures. This thought is what I believe that has driven our ancestors to write about their ideas about the orgin of our existence, and everything around us. Myths are made by people to explain things they don't understand -- and if I may say so, our ancestors did that very effectively." -- Andrea Malawi

"So there was this scene where Likalibutan had a thirst for power. He desired to gain more than what he has since he wasn't easily contented. Then he tried to attack the god of the skies in an attempt to bring him down. This was what started the chaos in the myth. I then concluded that peace begins when we recognize our limitations, and strengths and weaknesses as a person. When we start peace within our selves, we might influence others as well." -- Ritch Pontino

"Filipinos used their creativity to create and produce their own answers for their unanswered questions. They tried to write myths like this which I think is very resourceful. They even named their characters after the everyday things around us. Eventually, this creativity was then incorporated in their culture, which would later play a meaningful part in our history." - Aldean Dela Cruz

"By reading this Visayan myth and researching about it, I have learned that creation is always happening. Why? Because in every day of our lives, new things are always being created and invented for the betterment of our lives. Even during the past, this myth - which put up by the working minds of people - is also a part of the process called creation. And I think it's nice." -- Kent Gilig

"Reading the myth was actually really entertaining and gave me a lot of lessons to ponder upon. It portrayed the creation of the world through the eyes of our ancestors. Not only does this make it more special, but it also tells us how our Filipino way of life came to be as it is now." -- Sean Sitoy
